DEATHSTALKER SCORPION POISON
15 Flesh Wounds / 1 Round / 5 Rounds

The deathstalker scorpion (pictured above), also known as the yellow scorpion, can be found in cool, damp storage cellars, under rocks in mild climates, or near cave openings. The scorpion is a predator, and will lunge forward to sting with minimal provocation. Skilled harvesters know that the scorpion will not cross a line of salt, and use this fact to defend themselves from being stung while capturing one. The most concentrated toxin is located in the tip of the tail, although lower potency (5 Flesh Wounds / 2 Rounds / 4 Rounds) is found through its body.

The poison is sometimes administered through pieces of sliced fowl, though this gives the meat a slight pink hue which may raise a red flag to skilled poisoners or food tasters. More commonly, it is delivered via poisoned dart or a scratch from a poison needle ring. Either way, once the neurotoxin takes effect, intense burning sensations will begin at the sight of envenomation (or in the abdomen, if ingested), spreading rapidly throughout the body. The debilitating pain caused by this poison, which can linger for days or even weeks after the poison has run its course, has been known to cause victims to beg for death.
